Description
ERAGON is a Web3 game development and distribution platform built on Aptos, designed to bring mainstream players into blockchain gaming without the usual friction of wallets, seed phrases, and gas fees. Instead of a simple game portal, ERAGON works as a "platform as a game": players explore a 3D metaverse hub, play instant and on-chain titles from partner studios, compete in PvP modes, and earn rewards through seasonal pools and virtual airdrops. For game studios, ERAGON is a complete go-to-market layer. The platform combines four connected products - EraCore (core platform, accounts, and on-chain infrastructure), EraLaunch (game launch and token launchpad), Eramote (promotion and user acquisition), and EraAds (in-platform advertising and monetization) - so partners can publish, grow, and monetize their games in one place. Our team engineered the platform end to end: blockchain layer, multi-engine game integration, backend services at scale, and cloud infrastructure across multiple environments.

Challenges
1. Onboarding Web2 players into Web3 without friction
Wallet setup, seed phrases, and gas fees are the biggest reasons mainstream gamers drop off before playing a single Web3 game. ERAGON had to feel as easy as any casual gaming platform while still giving players real on-chain ownership of assets and rewards.
2. Handling massive on-chain and real-time traffic
With airdrop campaigns, seasonal reward pools, and real-time PvP, the platform needed to process millions of transactions and hundreds of thousands of daily active players - with traffic spikes during campaigns that could easily overload both the backend and the blockchain layer.
3. Integrating diverse games into one unified ecosystem
Partner studios build with different engines (Unity, Cocos, web-based three.js) and target different chains. ERAGON needed a single platform where all these games share one account, one reward system, and one economy - without forcing studios to rebuild their games.
Solutions
1. Social login with Aptos Keyless
We integrated Aptos Keyless so players create an on-chain account by logging in with a social account, with no seed phrase to manage. We also built the pre-minted token (pEGON) flow, so new users can start earning rewards from their first session.
2. A backend and infrastructure built for scale
We built the backend services with NestJS, Golang, and Rust, using Redis and RabbitMQ, and Colyseus for real-time multiplayer. The infrastructure runs across GCP, AWS, and on-premise environments and is managed with Terraform.
3. One core platform for many games
EraCore is the shared core of the platform, covering accounts and on-chain infrastructure. The platform supports games built with Unity, Cocos, and three.js, a desktop client built with Electron, and both Aptos and EVM networks.
